This grand mountainside hotel is situated next to the River Aare, just 200 meters from Interlaken city center and boasts impressive views of one of the famous Swiss mountains, Jungraujoch, known as 'the top of Europe'. All 101 guestrooms are decorated in a modern style with pastel tones and feature fireplaces and balconies with river and/or mountain views. All include cable television, telephones, safes, wireless Internet (fee) and come with bathrobes and slippers.
The hotel's restaurant serves Mediterranean and Asian dishes daily and a terrace opens for alfresco dining in the summer. In the evening, guests can have a drink at the lounge bar whilst being entertained by the house pianist. Guests can unwind at the in the sauna and steam bath offered at the health spa, which specializes in Indonesian and Javanesian relaxation and beauty treatments, including massages and facials. A fitness center with indoor pool is also on hand for more energetic guests, and complimentary bikes are available to those keen to explore the area. Trains leave regularly to Jungfraujoch and nearby Schilthorn, once the site of a James Bond film. The Mystery Theme Park and Ballenberg open air museum can all be reached easily from Interlaken city center, 200 meters from the hotel. The city center also offers boat excursions, river rafting and golfing; with skiing and sledging during the winter season, and traditional Swiss shops, bars and restaurants. A complimentary bus runs regularly to and from Interlaken Ost (East) train station, where train connect directly to Zurich Airport, 200 kilometers from the hotel.
By car: From Zurich, take the A1 motorway to Bern, then change onto the A6/A8 to Interlaken. Exit at 'Interlaken Ost, pass the railway station and drive for 200 meters.
