Location. The 81 acre Camino Real Diamante stands on a private beach within the gated residential community of Pichilingue, 15 kilometers from central Acapulco, Mexico. CICI water park and marine life shows are 13 kilometers from this property. Famed La Quebrada cliff divers perform 17 kilometers from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Tropical breezes enhance the dining experience at La Vela, a three level canopied restaurant that is known for its expert seafood preparations. Live piano music entertains daily in the lobby bar while Cabo Diamante serves Mexican specialties and casual fare. The hotel's business center includes computers and high speed Internet access. A health and beauty spa offers massages, hydrotherapy, body scrubs and wraps. Men's and women's sections include steam rooms, pressure showers and hydro reflexology tubs, and spa beauty salon offers hair and nail care. An air conditioned fitness room contains cardio and weight machines. Three pool decks lie above the bay. The upper level pool features a children's section. Middle and lower decks offer freeform pools with waterfalls. From the lower deck, a staircase leads to a private beach flanked by boulders and lapped by calm, transparent water. Children, ages four through 11, can participate in complimentary, supervised activities during summers, major holidays and most weekends.
Guestrooms. Camino Real Diamante offers 157 air conditioned guestrooms in nine, five story buildings with green tile roofs. Rooms feature large terraces or balconies that provide partial bay views on lower floors and full bay views on middle and upper floors. Accommodations feature contemporary decor, archways that frame sitting areas and marble floors. High speed Internet access is available.
Expert Tip. This hotel is particularly known for dolphin sightings. They can be seen frolicking in the bay many evenings at sunset.
