The Golf Hotel ATA was built by Austria's ruling Hapsburg monarch as a hunting retreat in 1895. It is located in Madonna di Campiglio, beside the ski slopes and 200 metres from the golf driving range. The hotel's 106 guestrooms have individual decor with coordinated patterned fabrics, functional furnishings, and all enjoy views of the Brenta Dolomites. Room amenities include cable television, minibars, direct dial phones, Internet, clock radios, air conditioning, climate control, safes, handheld showers, designer toiletries, bathrobes, bidets, and hair dryers.
The hotel spa offers ultimate relaxation with a Finnish sauna, bio sauna, steam bath, hot tub, Turkish bath and hydrotherapy. Those in need of a little extra pampering can indulge in health and beauty treatments, including mud and algae baths. More active guests can swim lengths of the pool or workout at the gym. The restaurant Carlo Magno serves a modern fusion of Italian and traditional dishes, accompanied by an extensive wine list, in a traditional setting with a wood beamed ceiling and panoramic views. Alternatively snacks and drinks are served at the Club House and The Rododendro American Bar, both located on the slopes. The concierge can advise on local attractions and multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can exchange currency. Golf enthusiasts will find themselves just 200 metres from a driving range, while winter guests will find the hotel is located on the slopes at an altitude of 1550 metres. The ski area boasts 57 lifts and 150 kilometres of ski runs, a 50,000 square metre snow park and Nordic skiing. The 50,000 hectare Adamello Brenta Natural Park offers a range of walking and biking paths. Guests can also visit Madonna di Campiglio 1.5 kilometres away. The nearest airport is Verona 180 kilometres from the hotel.
