The Sofitel Palm Beach Marseille is a contemporary, glass fronted, four storey property sited on the coast road, overlooking the Baie de Prado, 300 metres from the beach and five kilometres from the city centre. The 160 guestrooms feature modern decor with fluid lines and a marine themed colour schemes. All offer ocean views, air conditioning, wireless Internet connections, satellite television with pay movies, direct dial telephones with voicemail, minibars, safes and complimentary newspapers. Bathrooms have bathrobes, hair dryers and makeup mirrors.
The hotel's La Reserve is a contemporary restaurant fusing traditional Mediterranean cuisine with a diverse range of international flavours, with an emphasis on locally caught fish cooked over a hot griddle, accompanied by steamed or stir fried side dishes, and a selection of regional wines. Guests can also unwind in the relaxed, intimate bar, which is defined by white stone, frosted glass and rough hewn granite, and extends to a terrace with sea views. Guests can work out at the gym, head to the sauna and steam room, soak up the sun on the outdoor pool terrace, and unwind with a massage. There is a self service business centre with conference facilities and secretarial support, and guests can use the high speed Internet terminal or wireless connections. Other amenities include all hours room service, a 24 hour front desk, dry cleaning services, a gift shop, a concierge, and valet parking (surcharges apply). A range of water based activities, including boating and scuba diving, are available at the beach, 300 metres from the hotel, and visitors can spend time exploring the botanical gardens at Chateau Borely, three kilometres away, and head to the museums of history and fashion, both six kilometres distance. Marseille Provence Airport is 28 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 35 minutes.

Shuttle buses run every 20 minutes to/from Marseille Saint Charles railway station and Aix en Provence bus station. Two metro (subway) lines cross the city. Metro One links eastern suburbs to north eastern suburbs via the old port. Metro Two takes a north south route. The lines intersect at SNCF St Charles, the main railway station, and Castellane. Efficient bus and tram services also operate in the city.
Driving directions: From the airport follow signs for Marseilles. Take the A55 highway to Vieux Port and follow signs for Le Pharo. The hotel is on the right hand side of the coast road, by a row of six large palm trees.
